Little Bowland is an independent ecology, environmental and business consultancy, bringing together scientific expertise, commercial understanding and practical project management to help clients deliver successful, sustainable projects.

We work at the intersection of people, business and the natural environment, providing professional advice and practical support from the early stages of a project through to delivery. Our services are designed to help clients understand and manage environmental considerations, while ensuring projects remain commercially viable, well organised and focused on achieving their wider objectives.

Our ecological and environmental expertise is underpinned by Flynn Donnachie, a First Class Zoology graduate from Newcastle University, with practical conservation experience across three continents, including wildlife conservation in the Amazon and sea turtle conservation in Sri Lanka.

Supported by qualifications in ecology and sustainability, this provides Little Bowland with a strong scientific foundation and a genuine understanding of the environments in which we work.

Complementing this is co-founder David Donnachie with more than 25 years of business and operational experience, including building a technology business from the ground up and senior operational leadership within the hospitality and development sector. This brings valuable experience in business strategy, project management, operations, problem-solving and delivering complex projects from concept through to completion.

By combining these disciplines, Little Bowland offers a different approach to consultancy. We don't simply identify environmental considerations; we look at the wider picture, helping clients understand how ecological, operational, commercial and project requirements can work together.
